What To Do In Thailand For 4 Days

Thailand, known as the Land of Smiles, is a top tourist destination in Southeast Asia. With its rich culture, stunning beaches, delicious cuisine, and friendly people, it’s no wonder millions of tourists flock to Thailand every year. If you have only four days to spend in Thailand, don’t panic. In this blog post, we’ll give you some tips on what to do to make the most of your stay.

Day 1: Bangkok

Starting your trip in Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand, is a great choice. Bangkok is a bustling metropolis that is filled with history, culture and entertainment. To get a good sense of the city’s rich history, we suggest you begin your day early with a visit to the Grand Palace. The Grand Palace is a vast maze of buildings, halls, and pavilions that date back to the 18th century. It is also home to the famous Wat Phra Kaew or the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, which is a must-see attraction in Bangkok. After visiting the Grand Palace, you can head to Wat Pho and witness the famous Reclining Buddha. It’s one of the largest and oldest temples in the city, and home to some of the country’s most renowned Thai massage schools.

If you’re a fan of shopping and street food, Bangkok’s Chatuchak market is a must-visit. The market has over 15,000 stalls offering everything from fashion, souvenirs to local street food. The market is open on only weekends from 9 am to 6 pm walking distance from the Mo Chit BTS station. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes as the market spans over 35 acres!

Day 2: Chiang Mai

Chiang Mai, also known as the “Rose of the North,” is the cultural center of northern Thailand. We suggest you start your day by visiting the ancient city walls, which date back to the 13th century. You can explore the expansive moat and ruins of the city’s many temples, including Wat Chiang Man, the oldest temple in Chiang Mai.

After that, head to the famous Warorot market, which is a bustling hub of locals selling everything from food to traditional crafts. You’ll find local snacks, exotic fruits, and traditional textiles among the vast array of goods. After lunch, take a relaxing stroll around the banks of the Mae Ping River, before visiting Doi Suthep which is the famous temple located on top of the mountain with the view of the city it is just at the outskirts of Chiang Mai’s city limits.

Day 3: Krabi

Krabi is a beautiful coastal town situated on the southern coast of Thailand. It’s known for its gorgeous beaches, stunning scenery, and world-class rock climbing spots. We recommend that you start your day with a visit to Railay Beach. Railay Beach is accessible only by long-tail boat due to high cliffs surrounding it. Railay’s white sand beaches surrounded by rock formations are simply stunning. After relaxing on the beach you can head to Phra Nang Cave which has a scenic path through the lagoon.

For an adventurous evening, head out for some diving or snorkeling, and witness the stunning underwater world of the Andaman Sea.

Day 4: Phuket

Phuket, the largest island in Thailand, is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country. Start the day by visiting the Big Buddha located atop the Nakkerd Hills. The Big Buddha, one of the tallest Buddha statues in the world, offers a panoramic view of the entire island.

Afterward, head to the gorgeous beaches of Patong, Karon or Kata for some sun, sea, and relaxation. For an active night-lifestyle, head to Bangla Road, where you can find a nightlife extravaganza with street performances, vibrant neon lights, and Thailand’s famous lady-boy shows.
